Job description
The Computer Science and Engineering Technology department is seeking college work-study students to provide faculty and office staff assistance as well as work in the various department laboratories. Salary depends upon skills, experience, and department needs.
Duties
- Sets-up labs, provides assistance, tutors, and performs maintenance of the Computer Science and Engineering Technology labs
- Assists faculty with class projects
- Assists with application and implementation of software
- Answers phones and files
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work flexible hours (evenings and/or weekends), not to exceed 20 hours a week

- Must be currently enrolled at UHD
- Must be eligible for college work-study funding through the UHD Office of Financial Aid
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Must be Computer Science, Engineering Technology or Safety Management major (if applying for laboratory position)
