JOB DESCRIPTION
- Work with residents and their families in virtual family support sessions to identify family strengths and goals to inform a family treatment plan
- Work with residents and their families in virtual family support sessions to foster a supportive environment and address critical barriers to ongoing recovery
- Reach out to families when residents admit to treatment to establish a connection and facilitate appropriate communication
- Work with families as needed to set appropriate boundaries for their involvement in the resident’s treatment
- Provide and cultivate a “library” of multimedia options for psychoeducational material for families
- Provide and cultivate a resource list for families seeking support groups and other family resources
- Facilitate virtual family support groups and psychoeducational groups
- Coordinate and facilitate intensive Family Week programming
- Work on-site with families during Family Week to facilitate group-based interventions and family-specific interventions
- Complete timely documentation including family session notes, group notes, family treatment plans, treatment plan updates, and continuing care recommendations
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and work effectively with medical, nursing, integrative, case management, specialty therapists, and residential staff to provide and deliver a comprehensive treatment plan and continuing care recommendations for residents on your caseload
- Additional duties as assigned
HOURS
Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family, addiction counseling, or related human services field
- Preferred: Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy
- Preferred: two or more years of experience in marriage and family therapy
- Associate licensure or higher in Arizona (LAMFT/LMFT, LAC/LPC, LMSW/LCSW, LASAC/LISAC, PsyD, PhD)
- Preferred: independent licensure for marriage and family therapy (LMFT)
- CPR and CPI/NCI certification (training available upon hire)
