Position Pay
The pay for this position is a $4,000 stipend. This is a stipend position in addition to a STRIVE Prep – RISE staff member’s primary position for the 2023–2024 school year. It will be paid in $400 installments on a 10-month calendar.
SUMMARY of ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Strategic planning:
- Lead the development and execution of STRIVE Prep – RISE’s family engagement strategy
- Establish Family Engagement goals with Principal and APC
- Design and execute annual family engagement survey to measure progress toward Family Engagement goals
- Collaborate with APC to develop a shared strategy that aligns to school culture vision
- Ensure that STRIVE Prep – RISE family engagement utilizes evidence-based best practices and is driven by family “hopes and dreams” for their student’s education
- Create a home visit and communication plan to support student and family engagement at school.
- Work with community partners in supporting RISE mission and vision.
- Collaborate with and support the admin team in coordinating quarterly family engagement events and implementing family engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with APO on the logistics of family engagement events, the schoolwide communication system, and external communication of family-facing resources (e.g., school website)
- Support Principal and OM with recruitment and enrollment initiatives
- Reimagine and execute existing family events (e.g., Back to School Night, Family Conferences) and drive innovation for new types of family engagement that aligns with STRIVE Prep – RISE’s goals of academic and community excellence
- Build staff buy-in for family engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with teachers to support their family engagement events (e.g., curriculum nights, science fair)
- Review family survey data to ensure all stakeholders have input and family engagement meets family and community needs
- Stakeholder networking:
- Coordinate Family Council with Principal and family leaders; serve as the teacher representative on Family Council
- Professional development:
- Lead family engagement professional development for staff
- Collaborate with Central External Affairs team and family engagement leads at other campuses to share best practices

- Demonstrates capacity to problem-solve, manage logistics, and coordinate details in a fast-paced environment that directly supports a STRIVE Prep campus.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, high-stakes relationships, and engagements simultaneously, with a high degree of personal accountability and professionalism.
- Is passionate about educational equity and dedicated to academic success for all students.
- Is committed to constant growth and reflection through regular coaching and professional development.
- Proficient in the use of basic business software and Google Suite
- Bachelor’s degree
NICE TO HAVES (NOT REQUIRED)- Fluent in oral and written English and Spanish

For most of our positions, we hire on a rolling basis. Therefore, we recommend that you submit your application as soon as you are able.
