Description:
– level is flexible to skillset and level of experience, as well as career goals (shift approximately 11pm-7am with OT as necessary):
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience, some certifications highly desirable – heavily mechanically focused (setups, PLCs, need to be very comfortable with motors)
o Need to be a self-starter and handle shifting priorities; will be the only mechanic on the shift supporting a skeleton crew of Production.
o $30-36/hr somewhat flexible for the right candidate; eligible for an additional $2/hr shift-premium pay

Facility - could be dry wall repair , lighting replacement or troubleshooting , restrooms issues plumbing eg , snaking a line , speed doors, fire doors , bldg. utilities ,air conditioning , this all applies to both production & R&D bldgs..

Equipment - servicing and P/M’s of pressure mixers , air pumps , electric pumps, air scrubbers , chillers , boilers, steam vessels , pneumatic valves , electric valves ,( spray dryers main set ups of spindles , motors & cip )

Electrical – wiring of motors , 120v , 230v 480v, lighting , electrical plugs & cords 120v 230v, 480v use of meters to measure voltage & amperage , some knowledge of wiring codes , understanding of how plc’s work ,

5) Training – requirement of 6weeks per HR recommendation –However I just checked and no other mechanic on staff had 6weeks of training prior to moving to they’re hired shift position . I believe Angel Lara only worked 2 - 3 weeks day shift before moving on to second shift and 3-4 weeks before moving on and taking over 3rd shift , and briefly went back to 2nd as we tried to find a mechanic to fill the 3rd shift positon with no luck to date ,thus putting Angel back on 3rd until we can fill 3rd shift …. I believe Jesus Amezcua only trained for 1-2 weeks on days before moving on to take over 2nd shift …
A legitimate mechanic shouldn’t need 6weeks of training , if they have the actual experience and knowledge listed above ,and is on the candidates resume .. the main training we truly need to do would be for spray dryer set ups which generally consist of someone trust worthy to follow direction and step by step protocols required when performing a set up , its not a difficult process, but a very important process .. the other requirements should not be a problem if they’re knowledge and experience is legitimate on they’re application and resume’s .

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience performing light facilities repairs, ideally within a manufacturing environment

Additional qualifications below:
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and scissor lift (will certify them on site)
  • Troubleshoot machinery, ideally be able to change out a pump and change gears as needed
  • Must be mechanically inclined, able to turn a wrench and swing a hammer
  • Able to perform repairs within the facility including plumbing, painting, patching, drywall, light bulb changes, outlet replacements
  • Experience working outdoors on a regular basis performing: painting of walls, digging holes, replacing fencing, stone, brick, etc.
  • Must be comfortable performing cleaning duties such as buffing of floors, washing windows
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis due to lifting of furniture and unloading of supplies
