Grant Aviation is an Alaskan regional air carrier serving rural Alaska since 1971. With bases in Bethel, Emmonak, Dillingham, King Salmon, Cold Bay, Dutch Harbor, Kenai, and Anchorage, Grant Aviation provides scheduled air transport of passengers, cargo, and mail, as well as air ambulance and charter service. Position: Facility Maintenance Specialist

As a Maintenance Specialist we are currently seeking to hire, you will be the oil that keeps the bases running. You will be responsive to repair and maintenance requests while keeping your focus on the priority tasks in the work packet, you'll work well autonomously, and you'll be a friendly, professional resource for your fellow coworkers. You'll work under the direction of the VP of Station Operations (who has done all the work you'll be asked to do) to perform repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to our passenger terminals, hangars, and corporate housing at our Bethel, Alaska Station.

Life On The Job

This is a full time position, typically working around 40 hours across five days each week. You'll use your communication and service skills to provide exceptional customer service to our internal customers, as we believe a commitment to our internal customers is critical so they can give the same great service to our customers. While demonstrating friendliness, that also includes setting appropriate boundaries to complete the tasks at hand.

What You Offer

• Knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and equipment repair (no licensure required)
• Experience in building and grounds construction and maintenance, materials, and equipment
• Experience with power and hand tools used in facilities maintenance
• General comfort with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook and Excel, especially) and ability to work with our system for reporting and tracking facilities maintenance requests
• A commitment to respectful and effective customer service

This Role Requires:

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Experience in a similar role, ideally for five or more years, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Experience in customer service (1 year)
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to consistently walk, climb, stoop, lift hand/power tools above shoulder
