Responsible for a full range of minor facility maintenance tasks across stateside regions to include monitoring after-hours work for contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
The positions essential duties include the following:
- Performs Preventative and Corrective Maintenance for our stateside branches and office facilities.
- Acts as back-up to the Facilities Manager, to include maintenance duties such as HVAC filter changes and system cleaning, appliance cleaning, carpentry, drywall, painting, door lock and hardware, plumbing, basic electrical repairs, etc.
- Performs small furniture and equipment moves and other special maintenance tasks as required.
- Assists with care of outside property, including watering plants and performing ice preventative procedures as appropriate.
- Responds promptly to emergency calls during and after hours and provides off-hour access support for vendors as needed.
- Responds promptly to fire alarm calls. Assists as directed with routine fire drills, compliance tests, safety meetings and other facility related exercises at various sites.
- May test and evaluate new equipment received prior to installation and/or use.
- Reports safety problems and/or needed maintenance to Facility Manager. Generates work orders and acts as liaison between Andrews Federal Departments and/or Tenants on Facilities related matters.
- Troubleshoots equipment and system malfunctions; makes repairs and corrections as necessary.
- Exhibits knowledge of carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and mechanical systems and subsystems through job performance.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable standards, ordinances, and codes, including life safety codes, local and state fire codes, electrical codes, plumbing codes, etc.
- Safely demonstrates a general skill level with power tools and equipment used in departmental tasks and assignments.
- Performs duties in a neat and efficient manner. Keeps work area clean.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the emergency generator systems; conducts emergency testing as required.
- Coordinates building and site maintenance, to include paving and striping of parking lots, landscaping and snow removal.
- Collects and responds to Facilities requests from Andrews Federal Departments and Tenants in a timely manner.
- Proactively inspects Andrews properties/ equipment and creates work orders as needed.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications.
- Under managements direction, update recovery plans as required. Acts as a liaison between and communicates between Andrews Federal and appropriate responding agencies.
- Arranges for annual inspections of elevators, fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, Fire Suppression systems, boiler, generators, etc. Ensures licenses remain current.
- Monitors and Audits the work performed by all contractors performing renovations, janitorial services, and maintenance and repairs inside and outside Andrews Federals stateside properties.
- Provides reports to the Facilities Manager of the activities performed.
- Maintains Facilities database and Computer Maintenance Management system as required.
- Attends work regularly and according to work schedule; limits absences according to personnel policies regarding leave usage.
- Interacts with co-workers, supervisors, members and outside contacts to solve problems, make decisions, and reach agreements in an appropriate, professional manner which projects a positive image of the department and Andrews Federal.
- Remains cognizant of and adheres to Andrews Federal policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

EDUCATION*
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
- 3-5 years of experience
- Three years of experience within a facilities maintenance environment.
- Excellent PC skills and Mobile electronics required to include word processing, email, text and spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Excellent Customer service skills for internal associates and external members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work well with others as part of a team.
- Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings on an as needed basis in addition to regularly scheduled business hours.
- Must be available for occasional travel to all Andrews Federal stateside properties.
- May require overnight stays.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires considerable mobility, the ability to lift 75 lbs. and to push/pull 100 lbs. on a rolling cart.
- Working environment requires outdoor activity during inclement weather (i.e., ice removal during winter).
- Must be able to climb, lift, bend, kneel , stoop, or crawl on regular basis
- Must have the ability to drive as well as the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Subject to noise from machinery.
- Must be able to use a personal computer.
