Position Summary:
The Facilities Manager has oversight and leadership responsibilities for all facilities and will have responsibility to perform the functions including but not limited to, inspect and maintain electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and landscaping on the premises. They collaborate with building employees and departments to meet safety protocols, schedule routine maintenance, plan new projects and perform emergency repairs. This position schedules daily janitorial services to keep the building’s interior attractive and hygienic according to established guidelines. They assess the costs of maintaining workspaces, make recommendations for becoming more efficient and may assist in relocating businesses to a new office space that better meets their needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll do a lot of great things in this role and have the opportunity to expand into other areas, but the key responsibilities you can expect to perform on a regular basis include:
- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
- Managing the Grounds keeping Department and Facilities personnel to include scheduling, payroll tasks, performance management, etc.
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Special requested Projects to be completed as need be
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needs. Working with in budget for assigned facilities.
- On call maintenance for all facilities emergencies, 24/7
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented
- Maintain safe ingress of all entrances/exits used by employees/visitors.
- Clear all interior/exterior debris
- Keep floors clear from wet conditions due to spills, plumbing leaks, and or equipment failures.
- Manage Vendor activity to ensure employee safety
- Other special projects as needed
What Sets You Apart:
- Minimum 10 years experience in facilities
- At least one year supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Will need to pass the Medical exam for Certification for driving DOT required Vehicles.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must possess a positive and professional demeanor
- Must have skills to motivate to keep your team in a positive and incentive way of conducting day to day routines
- Demonstrated experience with commercial buildings and their systems including, but not limited to, advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, boilers, electrical and other building systems
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Project Management skills including vendor/subcontractor management
- Preventative maintenance and problem/planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
- Possible needs for operating heavy equipment- Backhoe, Skids Steer, Winter type Equipment -Snow Plowing , Snow Blowing etc.
