Facilities Maintenance Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and operate the Facilities Central Utility Building and support equipment including hot water generators, chillers, cooling towers, air systems, closed loop water systems, DI Water system, wastewater treatment, toxic gas monitoring, acid waste neutralization system, vacuum pumps, and electrical distribution
- Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on Facilities equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair down equipment and systems
- Work with Facilities Engineers to improve and increase equipment uptime
- Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives
- Participate in tool installations, building construction projects, and all other day to day maintenance activities.
- Utilizing CMMS to write work orders, respond, and make entries to document all work performed on equipment
- Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities
- Wear required PPE including respirator when working around chemicals
- Using Building Management System, respond to Facilities system alarms and take necessary corrective action to prevent impact to manufacturing operations (Interruptions To Production)
- Collect and interpret data collected from Facilities equipment during shift walks to ensure proper operation of the Facilities systems and identify potential problems
- Provide shift coverage when peer is off
- Perform 6S of assigned areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma is required with an applicable trade AA preferred
- 5-7 years of trade experience/licensing desired
- The ideal candidate will have experience in closed loop water systems, waste treatment systems, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have good general understanding of all building systems including Air Compressors, HVAC, water and vacuum pumps, and plumbing
- Excellent analytical, mechanical, and electrical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills with both non-Windows and Windows operating systems
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
- Hands-on participation, highly motivated, and strong sense of ownership
- Ability to work in fast paced, high volume production environment
- Applicant must be able to work a day compressed work week shift 6:50pm to 7am
