East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team to provide support and ensure the facilities are maintained in a condition compliant for dietary supplement manufacturing and distribution.

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, operation, repair, and upkeep of Company properties and non-production equipment as needed or required. Facilities include, but are not limited to, building and grounds management, walls, floors and ceiling treatments, painted surfaces, pest entry, plumbing systems, warehouse racking, and housekeeping. This position frequently collaborates with other departments and supports other mechanical projects as scheduled.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

Research and Documentation

• Track, respond to, and complete work order request logging, and document other miscellaneous repairs while providing excellent customer service
• Log regularly scheduled services and inspections of dozens of HVAC and ventilation systems, dust collector and compressed air pre-filters, hot water heating system performance and many others.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and security policies and procedures while performing assigned duties, including filling out required daily lift(s) and scaffolding inspections

Building & Facilities Maintenance (Preventive & unexpected repairs)

• Perform frequent belt, filter and general condition inspections and replace as needed on all air-handling systems
• Supervise outside contractors during scheduled HVAC equipment services as well as unscheduled visits for equipment failure
• Watch for and report wear or environmental influences that can lead to premature failure or accelerate major repairs and replacements
• Complete regular tests, inspections and audits on various systems and equipment
• Monitor drains in parking and dock locations and keep clear of debris
• Review, complete and respond to all Facility Work Order Requests submitted via the Company request form for repairs or project assistance
• Support company projects that are over and above the typical daily responsibilities.
• Engage and communicate in cross functional teams, delivering on specific due dates, and contributing to team goals.
• Respond to after hour maintenance emergencies as needed
• Handle errands necessary for facility maintenance

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:

• High mechanical aptitude with carpentry, electrical, plumbing and fabrication emphasis
• Some experience in report writing, data entry and general computer skills
• Safe Lift operation (forklift, scissor lift, articulating boom lifts)
• Schedule flexibility to support operations after hours and on weekends
