Position Summary:
The Facilities Associate will assist the Facilities Team with oversight of all Philabundance properties. Duties will include facility and grounds maintenance and repairs including, but not limited to: landscaping; facilitation of equipment maintenance and repairs; oversight of building and personnel safety and security, cleaning personnel and pest control; snow removal; aide to other warehousing positions as required. The role also involves vendor management and coordination of compliance regulations.

- General facilities and building management
- Preventative and corrective maintenance regarding landscaping and groundskeeping
- Attend to daily custodial needs of buildings
- Support projects such as space planning, pest control, waste management, safety, equipment maintenance and repair
- Provide customer service to Agencies and Philabundance
- Clerical duties as assigned
- Ensure safety and security of facility
- Coordinate and assist with facilities maintenance and repairs
- Work closely with the contractors to support all renovation projects
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent internal customer service skills
- Ability to work independently within a defined operating system
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to apply Project Management skills and competencies
- High energy level, strong sense of initiative, creative problem solving, flexibility, discretion, and a sense of humor
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Some general maintenance experience required
- Basic proficiency computer literacy
- Forklift and ServSafe Certification; training provided to employees after hire
- Must meet all of the applicable requirements as specified by OSHA
Physical Demands:
- Bend, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk, and turn/pivot throughout an 8-hour shift, 5 days a week
- Ability to lift at least 40-50 pounds at a time throughout an 8-hour shift
- Lift inventory continually throughout the day
- Work in an environment that will contain:
- variable temperatures inside warehouse in ambient, cooler, and freezer areas for extended periods of time
- outside weather conditions, dust/dirt, confined work areas
- exposure to noises including horns, backing alarms, as well as flashing lights
- Reach, grasp, and maintain control of items and materials used to perform activities associated with delivering and picking up packages
- See, hear and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions and communication with the public
- Maintain an acceptable work pace

- Must be able to read words and numbers accurately
- Demonstrate cognitive ability to:
- Follow directions and routines
- Concentrate, memorize, and recall
- Identify logical connections and determine sequence of response
- Travel is required. Must be willing and able to travel within the service area (employee can use public transportation, rideshare service, personal vehicle or other means)
- Valid driver license will be required if using personal or company vehicles
