Key Responsibilities

• The Lead follows the direction of the functional supervisor
• The lead is responsible for meeting Key Performance Metrics while following safety procedures
• Directs and executes production, schedules, and training for the work centers
• Ensures compliance with existing standards and procedures in an efficient manner
• Responsible for materials, equipment and 6S in the work area
• Develops, establishes, and maintains effective production procedures, methods and mentorship of personnel
• Drives Lean for the department; in charge of executing initiatives for process improvement and waste reduction as well as company goals
• Effectively represents corporate management guidelines and philosophy to departmental employees
• Responsible for accurate WIP counts and may perform cycle counts as needed.
• Communicates effectively and works as a team with Management, Engineering and planning to achieve goals and reduce variations in production related operations and metrics
• Recognizes and address issues and constraints and drives to results with the functional team

Incumbent for Military Lead will have experience with the following below:

• Inspect parts for defects and check ply thickness

• Bond frame and retainers and pressure seal

• Apply seals and paint windows

• Repair and rework windows in accordance with approved procedures

• Use inspection check fixtures (ICF) to accept parts, identify the window with label, and do final clean up prior to final inspection

• Install, bond, and machine bushings

• Rework/trouble shooting (when needed/required)

• Disassembly

• Terminal Soldering/Bonding

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively supervise department personnel and manage multiple tasks
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English the technical language and terminology associated with production requirements
• Must be able to accurately perform and interpret mathematical operations, formulas and conversions using standard and metric systems
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude to understand the set-up, modification and operation of production equipment and systems
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Machining Technical Skills and in a manufacturing environment
