Operator I ensure safe, timely and accurately maintaining a single extrusion line, SAP transactions, quality checks, and coordination support to the Operator II and Process Technician, as well as related tasks in accordance to Pregis best practices. The right individual will have 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will create a work environment contributing to the safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement activity of the team.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Safety · Adheres to all Pregis Safety rules and · Assures all teammates adhere to all Pregis safety policies and procedures. Operational Excellence · Assure completeness and accuracy of all production reporting · Verify quality products are being produced · Inspect and perform measurements as defined by the SOP on all extruded items and products being produced · Provides support as needed to the Operator II and Process Tech during start up, changeover, and shut down · Effectively maintain (minimum) single production line as a support role to the Operator II · Willingness to train and develop the Assistant Operator · Performs routine housekeeping duties to ensure the material storage and use areas are need and orderly Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of manufacturing related experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Shows competency to multi-task while completing tasks in a timely basis. · ERP knowledge. SAP a plus.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
· Strong work ethic, positive attitude with ability to adapt to change.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
