Job description
Works with the Director of MLLs, Dean of Operations and/or School Principal to plan and implement academic and enrichment programs during out-of-school time, including extended day program, before school, and school vacations. Responsible for: attending district wide meetings, completing PD related to the extended learning time. The MLL Expanded Learning Coordinator will also manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of programming, ensure program quality, develop future programs, maintain and expand partnerships. Finally, the coordinator will supervise staff; and liaise between programs, families, and staff.

The part time hours for the position are: Monday-Friday -1pm-5:30pm Key responsibilities include: Responsible for overall supervision of MLL Extended learning Opportunities Oversee the implementation of curriculum and other resources utilized during extended opportunities Ensure all school safety and emergency procedures are followed Monitor programming through regular walkthroughs and provide feedback to continuously improve teaching and learning Develop and maintain programs in conjunction with Director of MLLs, Dean of Operations, school principal, staff, and community partnersCommunicate and collaborate regularly with with Director of MLLs, Dean of Operations, school principal, staff, and community partners to monitor general procedures and protocols, ongoing safety, and program quality Provide supervision and leadership to all expanded learning staff; this includes coaching and mentoringWork directly with the Director of MLLs, Dean of Operations, and principal to develop the professional development plan for the program and professional development trainings for staffConduct formal and informal program observations, as planned Coordinate the use of substitutes, program chaperones, and volunteersFacilitate regular staff meetings if needed Assist with the registration process of all programsCollaborate with school personnel and community partners to ensure high quality programming that helps to support student learning Communicate with families and school personnel about programs, schedules, and students academic and social-emotional wellbeingCollect and maintain all required data for submission to the program evaluation teamWith support from Dean of Operations, schedule, coordinate and facilitate professional development sessions and staff trainings if necessary Communicate behavior expectations to students and staff, and provide support and tools to staff for dealing with behavioral incidentsOversee and schedule field trips and transportation for programs as necessaryAssist in recruiting and hiring staff as needed Use relevant program to electronically track attendance and other program dataSecure materials and supplies as necessary and appropriateAttend school staff meetings as needed to share program information and/or elicit feedbackFulfill other school and programmatic duties as determined by Dean of Operations and/or school principal
