The Export & Logistics Administrator is an individual contributor role with responsibility for enterprise-wide export control and for compliance with ITAR, AECA, and DFARS. This key role will be a subject matter expert with responsibility for management of the export control program and for training and support of personnel in site shipping departments. Develop and maintain an export control program that is both enterprise-wide and specific to each manufacturing plant Responsible for maintaining an enterprise-wide situational awareness of governmental and customer-driven regulations and compliance requirements Ensure company processes align with the export control program and advise the senior leadership of remedial courses of action when they do not Serve as a subject matter expert for various compliance requirements and audits; Work side-by-side with business process owners during the lifecycle of a compliance audit or activity Become intimately familiar with the scope of work of each business unit and portfolio to appropriately advise the business process owner of applicable compliance and regulatory requirements Engage with the appropriate business process owners to ensure that all forms of compliance activities are planned, tracked, coordinated, executed, and appropriately documented and archived Prepare reports, track industry trends, and advise leadership on compliance activities as needed Serve as the Empowered Official for ITAR-specific requirements Participate in contract reviews in order to identify compliance and export restrictions and requirements; Routinely validate all current programs and contracts in order to ensure that the company’s processes and procedures are in compliance Organize and provide efficient transportation options for sites to transport material to and from other facilities and/or customer or vendor sites as needed Monitor and audit shipments to verify the company is accurately invoiced; addresses and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner Provide reports to management identifying expenses incurred with freight forwarders and/or transportation carriers Serve as the primary point of contact for international logistics coordination, to include country specific import/export restrictions and methods of shipment Essential Competencies, Skills, and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of: International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), and Arms Export Control Act (AECA), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) Basic knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements (Country of Origin, HTS codes, ECCN, INCO) Direct experience obtaining freight quotes for domestic and international shipments, evaluating various options, and selecting optimal delivery method/carrier Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities to appropriately handle unexpected challenges Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; a combination of education and/or relevant progressive experience may be considered in lieu of degree Minimum of five (5) years experience in shipping with responsibility for export logistics negotiation and coordination to include ITAR, AECA, and DFARS compliance Experience preparing and submitting export license applications Experience utilizing a comprehensive ERP system with multiple sites/organizational locations Travel Requirements: Some travel, including overnight travel and commercial air travel may be required (estimated
