DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Locate, diagnose, repair and/or replace maintenance problems on plumbing equipment and fixtures

· Install various types of plumbing pipe and equipment including but not limited to PVC, sweat and solder copper, cast-iron pipes, fixtures (sinks, toilets, urinals, fountains)

· Install and maintain plumbing systems used for drainage, sewage and potable water

· Create relationships and professional communication with clients and customers

· Conduct warranty services and quickly perform emergency repairs on certain plumbing equipment and fixtures as necessary

· Upon the completion of a billable service call, complete the invoice for submittal to the Accounting Department.

· Maintain a Daily Service call log.

· Ability to safely lift a minimum of 60 pounds

COMPETENCIES:

· Up to date on current technologies and with modern workplace trends.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Troubleshooting and problem resolution ability.

· Self-starter who can work through assignments with very little supervision.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Excellent people skills. Strong ability to treat clients and customers professionally and with respect.

Some tasks will require moderate dexterity and moderate to high physical exertion through varied working positions, e.g. standing, kneeling, bending, lifting and overhead positions, working at heights plus digging and handling building products. Employees are expected to be available during required working hours for both work placements and Training Center environments. Please note that all tasks carried out in conjunction with this position will be done so in accordance with OHSA legislative requirements, codes of practice, job safety analysis and safe working/operating procedures.

POSITION TYPE:

This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. This position will occasionally require some weekend and after-hours responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
