We are seeking to fill an Executive Support position (ESS2) to the Director of the Oregon School for the Deaf. This position is located at the

. This is an exempt, full-time, permanent management service position.

regon School for the Deaf (OSD)
is a fully accredited K-12 school serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. OSD serves approximately 120 students and over half of those students stay on campus through the week; the other half commute daily. OSD's mission is to create a safe and empowering learning environment, rich in language where Deaf students can thrive, entering the world with new connections.
What you will do!
The Executive Support to the Director of OSD will provide direct and confidential administrative support to the Director by working closely on tasks that directly support the School's programs and operations. Duties require confidentiality, management experience, and intermediate knowledge of office operations, policies, and procedures.
Typical duties include:

Schedule appointments, arrange, and coordinate meetings
-
Manage travel arrangements for school personnel, students, and for the Director
-
Maintain confidential personnel records, inventory records of supplies, equipment, and materials, including ordering supplies for immediate office use

Create and process service contracts, grants, and letters of agreement; maintain files/records of these legal documents.

Leading, facilitating, and/or note taking during virtual or in-person meetings
-
Supervise three (3) office support staff and one (1) data/assessment support staff
-
Coordinate, plan, and lead scheduled meetings of office support staff to identify and address common problems such as implementation and consistent application of policies and procedures, budget tracking, and record keeping systems
Travel will be required occasionally and may require overnight stays. Travel will typically be within the State of Oregon, but may be out of state, as well. Travel will only be required where necessary to support the Administrator in conducting engagements, giving presentations, or facilitating meetings that must be conducted in person.

What are we looking for?
One (1) year of experience performing administrative duties in support of agency projects or programs.
Qualifying experience would involve data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations; or similar experience.
Special Requirements:
- ASLPI (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview) Level 2 at time of hire
- Valid Oregon drivers license and eligible to obtain a Type 10 certification within 30 days of hire

Salary Range: The range listed is the Non-PERS salary range. Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay a 6% employee contribution to PERS.
