Responsibilities & Requirements:
Job Summary:
Provides leadership for Kettering Health’s hospital and professional Patient Financial Services functions including Revenue Integrity, Customer Service, and Financial Assistance. This position is responsible for leading the ongoing strategy and development of an integrated Patient Financial Services division and providing an exceptional customer service culture while driving continuous improvement to create value. The Executive Director ensures that teams are equipped with industry leading resources to produce high quality performance as it relates to billing, collections, and patient advocacy. The executive director identifies and supports department leaders in coordination of activities for denials management and prevention with direct contact to documentation improvement as it relates to coding and patient status. This position facilitates leadership development to positively grow the division toward the mission and culture of Kettering Health Network.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership to create a fully integrated health system revenue function. Maximizes integration efforts already underway for hospital and professional revenue operations, and defines and drives further transformation
- Defines vision and organizational structure for integrated operations for revenue functions while monitoring changes in the healthcare industry impacting the Revenue Cycle
- Develops and maintains strong revenue cycle leadership team and staff through effective recruitment, talent management, creation of a collaborative results-oriented culture, and a focus on continual improvement
- Maintains effective interface and communication with key internal customers including senior leaders at each hospital and physician practice, regional finance executive directors, clinical department leadership, and other administrative leaders across the organization
- Ensures compliance with external billing requirements
- Manages utilization of external expertise/resources; assesses and implements select outsourcing approaches to maximize value to the organization
Eductional Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
