The Dr. John C. Corrigan Mental Health Center is seeking a candidate to clean/disinfect assigned areas to ensure the safety, health and morale of patients, visitors and employees by helping to provide a sanitary and attractive environment.

Please note: (Two Vacancies). The selected candidate will work 40 hours per week on the 1st shift.

Work Schedules are:

Pos#00024629 - 7:30am to 4:00pm - Days Off: Week 1 Sunday/Wednesday and Week 2 Wednesday/Saturday
Pos#00037862 - 8:00am to 4:30pm - Days Off: Week 1 Tuesday/Saturday and Week 2 Sunday/Tuesday

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive):

• Cleans and sanitizes floors daily, by dry mopping and washing using appropriate supplies and equipment, to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the areas,
• Washes, cleans and otherwise disinfects patient bathing and living areas daily to maintain a clean, sanitary area.
• General Public areas and offices that are used are washed and disinfected on a daily basis using appropriate supplies and equipment.
• Checks soap and shower dispensers; removes empty containers and replaces with full dispensers on an as needed basis.
• Washes walls, windows (inside), in offices, rest rooms and corridors. They are washed and disinfected with appropriate housekeeping supplies to ensure a clean, healthy, and sanitized environment for the general work area as needed.
• Strips wax off floors with stripper; rinses and then applies wax and sealer as needed.
• Cleans; moves and relocates furniture/equipment for better utilization of space.
• Removes trash from premises for general collection, recycling, or incineration on a daily basis, disinfecting receptacles as needed (i.e. paper towel holder, soap dispenser, trash can, etc.); replenishes paper goods as needed.
• Sweeps, washes, and disinfects stairwells assigned on a weekly basis.
• Assists supervisor in the following duties: receiving of incoming goods; dispensing and delivery of supplies throughout the Center and State Residential Group Living Environments; maintaining clean and organized supply closets.
