Xanitos is hiring Full - Time Environmental Service (Floor Technician) for 2nd shift at City of Hope from 3pm - 11:30pm Tuesday - Saturday!

Job Overview:

The Environmental Service Attendants (Floor Technician) may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Xanitos may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities, client requirements and applicable industry standards.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Assist with striping, buffing, and waxing surfaces
  • Clean or shampoo carpets
  • Perform light window and wall cleaning duties
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Follow workplace safety standards
  • Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas.
  • Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
  • Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
  • Measuring chemicals correctly.
  • Operating chemical dispensing units.
  • Labeling chemicals correctly.
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
  • Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
  • Medical cleaning a plus
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FLU Vaccine required.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $19.16, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include Shift differential pay and bonuses (if applicable to the position).
