As the Executive Vice President Product Management, Digital Brokerage you will be responsible for owning the product vision that enables Redwood to become the industry’s leading digital freight brokerage. You will leverage your knowledge and expertise of the transportation, logistics, and supply chain industries to craft and deliver innovative solutions that empower Redwood team members to provide seamless and automated experiences for carriers, shippers, and partners alike. You’ll lead cultural change that embraces innovation and supports the development of forward-thinking initiatives, including ongoing formation of strategic partnerships. This person will also be responsible for identifying revenue models, areas of investment and growth, and setting top & bottom-line goals for the product. This person will have a blend of business and technical savvy, skills to build big picture visions and the drive to make those visions a reality.



Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire digital brokerage product portfolio and manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution to go-to-market and product release
  • Closely collaborate with business leadership to develop and manage the strategic product roadmap that delivers intelligent, automated solutions that position Redwood as the leading digital brokerage
  • Champion cross-functional partnerships with strategic partners, carrier and customer sales, account management, and other functional business units to build consensus and drive key business outcomes
  • Lead a team of product managers and product owners to synthesize complex use cases and requirements into actionable roadmaps, construct investment theses, and execute on strategic initiatives
  • Set and measure KPIs that drive critical product and business decisions forward
  • Define the goals for experiments and inform experimental design and measurement
  • Partner with UX and design team in prototyping solutions that foster feedback cycles with end users
  • Work closely with data scientists to optimize pricing and capacity models to achieve revenue and profitability objectives
  • Manage change and promote enterprise growth by developing ideation frameworks, providing product development visibility, championing rollout programs, and cultivating user feedback initiatives
  • Represent Redwood Logistics as a domain and product expert during customer and partner interactions, including industry conferences and events
  • Spearhead build vs buy analyses that drive intelligent investment strategies in brokerage technology, which will include vendor discovery and management, along with playing a key role in M&A activities

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of direct product management experience, ideally on B2B enterprise SaaS products
  • A strong understanding of technology and it’s evolving role within the freight industry, with an especially strong knowledge of TMS technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to rapidly develop and cultivate trusted relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers
  • A combination of strategic, operational and analytical/data driven experience; the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and derive actionable insights that can be put into action
  • Enterprising leader who is passionate and familiar with the complexities of the transportation & logistics industry, driven by the desire to make a difference
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and excellent attention to detail
  • Have previously worked with data science and pricing teams
  • A high degree of statistical literacy and ability to think quantitatively
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • This position requires travel to customers and partners
