Hello! Welcome! The Grove’s Event Host Position is designed to provide training and work experience in event coordination and management. The Event Host will learn the process of internal and external events from beginning to end: floorplans, department coordination, set up procedures, customer service, catering service management, tear down and follow up. If you love people and events, this could be the position for you!
Reports to: Hub Ministry Director
Works with: Guests; employees in Hub Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Facilities, and Tech Support
Works: Part time – Varied Hours
Event Processes - 50%
- Engage in meetings with events team or individual departments based on event needs.
- Communicate with guests regarding floor plans, timelines and fees.
- Learn Planning Center Resource for details of events.
Event Management – 50%
- Review policies and procedures of onsite events with clients.
- Set up for events.
- Serve as point of contact and church representative during events.
- Assist during events in timeline, catering captain and other areas.
- Follow up with clients after events.
