Salary: $120K
A building supply company, is looking for a reliable and competent Project Manager to lead and handle all aspects of completing new project accounts from contract signing to successful project completion.
The ideal candidate will be analyzing project proposals to determine the time frame of project deliverables, identifying project allocations, and specifying relevant processes for accomplishing the business objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers responsibilities
- Manage phone calls, emails and other correspondence from customers and respond within 24 hours.
- Prepare submittals for customers including updating and verifying project costs
- Contact customer before each jobsite delivery to assure proper scheduling of delivery and assure all logistics regarding delivery commitments are fulfilled.
- Coordinates and attend job site meetings or web meetings according to the customer's schedule and requirements.
- Proactively anticipate customer needs and actively and periodically solicit feedback
- Participate in developing solutions for customers with technical issues involving supplied products.
- Monitor production schedules
- Keep project files orderly and current.
- Manage any project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and change order documents and make revisions in Project Management software.
- Coordinate and manage all purchasing of material for projects including negotiating, pricing and delivery times.
- Maintain records on each project comparing the final delivered cost to the planned cost
- Attend sales and/or estimating meetings to provide information or input for any customer service issues.
- Complete project with full or enhanced fee
- Avoid or mitigate claims and conflict
- Complete all job close-out procedures
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Skills:
- 3+ years experience in project management
- Strong background in project management with an excellent understanding of different aspects of manufacturing operations
- Ability to build rapport, develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, and assist possible requests, concerns, and inquiries to manage expectations before providing commitments to assure clients satisfaction
- Hands-on experience with project management tools and proven ability to handle demanding workloads, manage multiple projects at once, and deliver on schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of organization, proactive problem-solver, and ability to navigate complex processes and systems
