Job description

We are seeking an experienced Desk Estimator to work directly with our sales staff and insurance providers to write estimates to be approved by insurance providers for the projects coming through our direct repair programs and our sales staff.

ESTIMATES WRITTEN | ESTIMATES APPROVED | GROSS MARGIN

BACKGROUND PREFERENCE:

• 12+ months of experience writing estimates in restoration and working with insurance providers.

• Understanding of how to write estimates (Xactimate preferred) and submit, supplement, and negotiate with insurance providers.

• Able to work in a high growth environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receives projects to be written.

• Reviews project scope provided by sales staff and requests more information if needed.

• Communicates with Project Manager if there is a need to get mechanical bids and/or engineering reports.

• Completes “Eagle View” or “Hover Report” if exterior project to support estimate.

• Creates Xactimate file and writes estimates.

• Submits an estimate to insurance providers within the designated time frame.

• Completes job file administration in Dash to remain compliant.

• Follows up with adjustor weekly, completing revisions, until the insurance provider approves scope.

• Uploads the approved estimate into Dash.

• Ensures estimated amount is accurate in Dash and includes any supplements or change orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
