- Managing the equity model risk across the model lifecycle including model validation, ongoing performance evaluation and annual model reviews
- Managing the stakeholder interaction with model developers and business owners during the model lifecycle
- Providing effective challenge to model assumptions, mathematical formulation, and implementation
- Assessing and quantify the equity model risk arising from model limitations to inform stakeholders of their risk profile and development of compensating controls, balancing theoretical accuracy and pragmatic implementation
- Contributing to strategic, cross-functional initiatives within the model risk team
- Helping to embed a strong risk culture across the Firm under the Risk Management Framework and its associated policies and procedures
Successful candidates should have diverse risk modelling / validation experience and be able to operate in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial working environment.
- MSc or preferably PhD in a quantitative field (physics, mathematics, computer science, financial engineering, etc.) with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in a quantitative role in Risk Management at a financial institution with experience in either model development or validation, ideally experience in modelling of equity derivatives products
- Strong derivative pricing skills a must (stochastic calculus, numerical techniques, coding in VBA/Python)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to find practical solutions to challenging problems
- Good communication, presentational, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for project deliverables
