Job description

We are looking for a new team member to join us in the position of equine billing specialist. We are a 100% equine sports medicine veterinary practice providing ambulatory care to the best horse athletes in the country. Applicants should have demonstrable billing experience, ideally with thoroughbred race horses. Must have a clean driving license, permission to work in the US. Schedule is typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. This equine veterinary practice is based in Ocala, Florida.

Experience Requirements

· Demonstrated, advanced understanding of equine veterinary practices

· Experience with all aspects of an equine business enterprise

· Experience with electronic health records

· Microsoft Office skills

· Organized, punctual, with the ability to multitask and prioritize

· Strong communication skills, including conversational and written

· Proactive in seeking and employing professional best practices

· Impromed experience a plus

Duties and Responsibilities

· Model professionalism and ethical practices at all times

· Enter charges and/or procedures performed in billing system

· Process payments and monthly statements

· Communicate and assist clients over the phone

· Communicate with Practice Manager, Doctors, and clients related to, but not limited to billing

· Assist with or perform other duties and projects as assigned

· Understand and carry out oral and written directions

· Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with other employees

· Promote continuous quality improvement

· Provide complete dedication to exceptional service as demonstrated by a pleasant, welcoming manner with clients

· Understand that clients are often in a stressful circumstance, as demonstrated with calm explanations and kind tone of voice

· Greet clients at front desk and answer calls.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
