Overview:
Project management of large scale and complex enterprise technical and/or operational projects to include large scale IT-centric projects. Accountable for creating plans using appropriate frameworks (e.g. PMI/waterfall, Agile), collaborating with multiple technical, clinical, and/or business stakeholders to create, maintain and manage plans, coordinate with vendors on any external deliverables, manage issues/risks/decisions, manage project budgets and deliver project objectives. Primary accountability for effectiveness and quality in delivery of project components, such as Charter/Scope and Project Schedules. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver complex project deliverables, including technical hardware and software, supporting organizational objectives to enhance the patient experience and clinical enterprise-wide projects. Provide consultation, education and coaching on Project Management fundamentals as well as report status to all levels of leadership as required. Also works with peers and leadership on continuous improvement efforts for project management tools, processes, and templates.

Responsibilities:
  • Full Lifecycle project management for large/complex Technical, Clinical and/or Business projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and create quality, accurate, and complete Project documentation, including but not limited to charter/scope documents, schedules, communication plans, risk/issues, mitigation plans, training plans, budget management, QA/test plans, status reports, and implementation (go-live) plans.
  • Implement project deliverables within scope, schedule and costs with highest quality for our patients and families.
  • Proactively identify project delays, risks and issues and work to resolution with the project team, sponsors, and EPMO leadership.
  • Facilitate project meetings with accurate and updated information and hold team members accountable for their deliverables as well as prepare weekly status updates for stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement of portfolio management tools and processes.
  • Experienced with creating dynamic Power Point Presentations especially for C-Level audiences, highly desirable.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree MBA or MHA or Strategic Planning or Project Mgmt and 3-5 years experience
    • Or Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Preferred
  • Health Care IT experience in hospital, ambulatory or technology vendor preferred
  • HIMSS certification Preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Agile certification or similar preferred
Starting Pay:
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $37.35/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home:
This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his/her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and onsite hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
