Do you have experience leading fast-paced Public Health programs and coordinating with government agencies? MCD Global Health is seeking to fill an informatics coordinator role charged with coordinating the epi informatics projects as part of Maine CDC’s Infectious Disease Epidemiology Informatics team.

We are looking to bring on board an Informatics Project Coordinator to monitor, support, and tract informatics projects. Specific tasks may include:

• Scheduling and running meetings, including taking and distributing notes
• Tracking project detains within the chosen tracking system, ensuring staff are aware of deadlines, and helping identify and remove barriers to completion
• Project management for new projects including developing implementation plans, coordinating meetings with stakeholders, and reporting on progress
• Collaborating with the epidemiology teams to understand business needs and ensure ongoing projects help meet those needs
• Ensuring good communication both within the team, between partners, and to the Infectious Disease Epi Program Director

Additionally, this role would be expected to participate in and contribute to overall Infection Disease Epidemiology Program planning and evaluation activities
The successful candidate will bring solid experience in project management and working knowledge of public health informatics.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills:
Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related fields (Informatics, Biostatistics, Business, Computer Science etc.)
• Four (4) years of relevant experience in project management or public health informatics
• Communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities
• Ability and willingness to travel

Preferred

• Master’s Degree in Public Health or related fields (Informatics, Biostatistics, Business, Computer Science etc.
• Minimum two years relevant work experience in project management or public health informatics
