Public Consulting Group (PCG) is a leading public sector management consulting and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives.

We are seeking a skilled EpicCare Willow to join our team. The EpicCare Willow is a specialized application within the larger Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. It is designed specifically for pharmacy management and supports the entire medication management process, including medication ordering, dispensing, and administration.

Responsibilities:

  • EpicCare Willow administrators or analysts are responsible for configuring the system to meet the specific needs of the pharmacy department. This includes setting up medication formularies, dosing protocols, medication dispensing workflows, and other system parameters.
  • Individuals may be responsible for training pharmacy staff on how to effectively use EpicCare Willow. They provide support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing questions, issues, and system errors that may arise.
  • EpicCare Willow professionals are responsible for maintaining the system, ensuring its optimal performance, and applying necessary updates and upgrades. They collaborate with the IT department to perform regular system maintenance tasks, including database management, security updates, and performance optimization.
  • These professionals may work closely with pharmacy managers and staff to analyze existing pharmacy workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. They may recommend changes or enhancements to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance patient safety.
  • Individuals working with EpicCare Willow play a crucial role in ensuring medication safety and quality assurance. They help implement and monitor medication error prevention strategies, perform audits and reviews, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to minimize risks associated with medication management.
  • EpicCare Willow professionals often collaborate with other healthcare teams, such as clinicians, nurses, and IT staff, to ensure seamless integration of the pharmacy system with other Epic modules and systems. They participate in interdisciplinary meetings and projects to enhance communication and optimize patient care processes.
Requirements:


  • Must have at least 3 years of Analyst Experience with Epic.
  • Analyst needs to be proficient at self-learning.
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration and facilitation skills are required.
  • Willow Inpatient Certification including current NVTs for 2020.
  • Epic ASAP or Ambulatory Proficiency/Certification (or another EPIC application Proficiency/Certification)
  • Knowledge of Willow medication charge build experience highly desired. Pharmacy experience desired.
  • Reporting build highly desired.
  • Testing experience desired.
  • Clinical background & experience a Plus.
  • Decision Support Experience a Plus.
  • Integration/Data Mapping Experience a Plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and in depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice.
