Requirements:

• Completing a cardiovascular technology program
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred.
• Cardiac Rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia identification proficiency
• Current BLS from the AHA or ARC

What You Will Do:

• Primarily responsible for monitoring and assessment of hemo-dynamic data.
• Utilization of computers for clinical interpretation of data and assist with the delivery of patient care given during all Cardiac Invasive Procedures.
• EP technologists assist an EP Cardiologist (Electrophysiologist) during diagnostic and invasive procedures including programmed electrical stimulation, sterile scrub technique, electro-anatomical 3D mapping, catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmias, and device implantation for cardiac rhythm management such as pacemakers and other advanced implantable devices.
• Operation of computers to derive complex data for determination of patient cardiac status. May be cross-trained or assigned other duties as indicated.

ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte continues to provide quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of Charlotte County and surrounding areas. ShorePoint Port Charlotte is a 254-bed full-service facility with a care team comprised of roughly 900 associates, 100 volunteers, and over 300 physicians specializing in over 40 specialties. ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte is a full-service facility offering services in emergency care, primary stroke center, orthopedics and the only licensed obstetric and pediatric units in Charlotte County. The on-campus Southwest Florida Heart Center is an accredited chest pain center with PCI offering comprehensive cardiac services.

ShorePoint Health Punta Gorda is a 208-bed Joint Commission Accredited hospital part of a regional network of seven hospitals. ShorePoint Health Punta Gorda features all-private patient rooms in the acute care setting, and offers an accredited primary stroke center, the Joint Commission Certified Joint and Spine Center, an accredited chest pain center, an accredited hyperbaric and wound care center, and emergency care services.

Experience

• Previous EP Lab or Critical Care experience.
• Work as a “team member”, using independent judgment and responsibility.
• Able to take call and to work closely with physicians.
• Ability to use computers in computing hemodynamic data in related Cardiology technology.
• One to three years clinical experience in invasive cardiology areas.
• Graduate of an AMA approved CVT program or related allied health program.
