Job Overview:
This position reports to the LGUS Environmental Manager and will have direct environmental compliance responsibility for LGUS Bulk facilities located in the Southern Region and as assigned by management.
Location: Deer Park, TX Linde Facility or other nearby Linde facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Environmental Manager in developing, executing, and maintaining region compliance with permits and air, waste, and water regulatory requirements.
- Provide support for developing permit applications (Air, Water, Waste, Drinking Water), amendments, and/or permit exemptions.
- Track key compliance metrics to improve performance in the Region. Including knowledge of Sustainability Metrics.
- Maintenance of environmental management systems (Gensuite®, Intelex®) to comply with applicable permits and environmental regulations.
- Assist operating plants and regional S&ES specialists with environmental compliance and internal reporting. (Air, WasteWater, Waste, Emergency Planning, HAZ MAT, etc)
- Serve as a point of contact and provide technical support for environmental compliance questions for facility staff and regional S&ES specialists
- Assist in training required for environmental (air, water, waste) compliance programs and work to help implement training to operations, engineering, and other facility staff.
- Participate in business level and corporate level assessments.
- Assists Environmental Manager in the development of regional/corporate related programs, procedures, and environmental compliance tasks.
- Assists Environmental Manager in reviewing current and proposed legislation to determine applicability for the South Region Business area.
- Liaise with other Regional Environmental Specialists to share best practices and develop synergies for the business to achieve outstanding results.
- Takes the lead and inspires others to contribute in a manner that ensures alignment and environmental compliance.
- Forms partnerships and works as part of the team within the Regional S&ES group with direct interaction with operations and maintenance teams within area of responsibility. Anticipates future situations and needs, and plans ahead to meet them.
- Completes other tasks as deemed necessary by the Environmental Manager.
- The candidate must be able to interface with State and Federal Regulatory Agencies on permit applications, permit negotiations, agency inspections, enforcement issues and reports.

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or a technical discipline preferred.
- Excellent Technical Writing Skills a Must
- 5+ years environmental experience in air, water/waste. Including but not limited to knowledge in Title V Air Permitting, GHG Reporting, MACT, RCRA, CWA, SWPPP, SPCC and NPDES compliance programs required. Sustainability reporting a plus.
- Computer experience required with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- This position requires 20% travel with overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Environmental Certifications and knowledge of TX STEERS a plus.
