Cabinetworks Group is currently seeking a qualified Environmental Specialist for our Duncanville, Texas manufacturing facility.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare detailed project plans to track assigned projects and ensure timely completion and achievement of set goals.
  • Develop and facilitate safety related programs, meetings and training.
  • Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with a focus on hazard recognition and unsafe behaviors.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relations with governing agencies.
  • Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Effectively foster a collaborative team environment throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct new-hire safety orientation.
  • Usage records for air permit requirements data entry – upload into system for calculations of emissions (Combustion fuels, Paint usages, Hours of operation, Glue usages, Aerosol spray can usages, Spill clean up guidance , Iso training administrator and coordinator)
  • Reporting on state and federal reporting requirements (Title V permit reporting, Stormwater Permitting, PBR Compliance, Tier II Reporting, Annual Waste summary reporting, Emissions inventory reporting, Form R Reporting, TRI Reporting)
  • Stormwater monitoring
  • Perform and document daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audits
  • Stormwater inspections
  • Waste inspections – both in plant and storage
  • Daily Magnahelic reading documents to ensure compliance – on occasion random checks of the magnahelic gauges throughout the plant.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 + years of previous experience in a Environmental or Health and Safety role
  • Prior safety experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Safety or relative field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Certifications of OSHA 10, OSHA 30 or Certifications of CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are highly desired
  • Team player with a professional image, capable of handling highly confidential information
  • Exercise excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
