As a Trex Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager you’ll facilitate environmental, health and safety activities within the plant and ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, applicable codes and corporate policies pertaining to EH&S.

A member of our Manufacturing team, you’ll be helping ensure the safety is the number one priority for all Trex employees.

DUTIES

• Develop, manage and lead safety programs to keep safety awareness high, and ensure that all employees are aware that safety is the company’s number one priority.
• Audit safety procedures and processes to maintain compliance. Ensure all required inspections are current and all documentation is accurate.
• Manage industrial hygiene programs.
• Develop, manage and lead site environmental activities to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Develop, manage and lead site safety committee, emergency response team and industrial fire brigade.
• Manage and coordinate site insurance activities with hazard and workers’ compensation insurance brokers.
• Support environmental, health and safety activities at the corporate level, including field sales and purchasing representatives.
• Prepare the annual site budget for the operation based upon forecasted sales, cost of raw materials and production requirements.
• Maintain an active and effective cost-savings program for all aspects of the business.

EXPERIENCE

A bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, engineering or related discipline is preferred, but we will consider candidates with three or more years of experience in an EH&S management role. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. If you have worked as an employee industrial hygiene manager or safety specialist, you’re Trex material for sure.

Have experience with OSHA, NIOSHA, NFA rules regulations and compliance? You’ll fit in just fine.
