Our water + environment team develops technical and strategic solutions that keep the community healthy and resilient—with a right-sized, responsive approach.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team in the implementation of environmental compliance consulting projects for aviation, industrial, and/or municipal projects.
• Provide environmental regulatory compliance support; develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS); conduct environmental compliance audits; prepare and deliver training, and prepare permits and regulatory plans.
• Interpret, apply and audit against environmental and transportation regulations including RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA, SPCC, TSCA, DOT (hazmat transport).
• Develop and implement Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
• Complete environmental permit applications and air emission inventories.
• Manage projects to a successful outcome for both our clients and the firm.

Beneficial Certifications, Licensure, or Equivalent:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
• Registered Environmental Manager (REM)
• Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA)
• ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or environmental sciences. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage clients, motivate project teams, manage conflict and negotiate equitable solutions.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills including project planning, risk management, technical delivery, project/business performance, and leadership.
• Ability to think critically to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
• Strong technical writing skills, especially the ability to explain regulations to multiple audiences.
• Strong public speaking skills, specifically delivering training to a wide variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to proactively determine the necessary steps to meet objectives and performance expectations of the position.
