Currently Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Structural Revit Designer to join our Structural Design Group. The successful candidate will work on various projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. The candidate will work on project teams with structural, mechanical, process and electrical engineers, architects and designers on designs for facilities primarily serving the water and wastewater industries. Project work includes: structural Revit model creation and drawing production efforts on projects; assisting structural designers in the preparation of construction drawings; and coordination with other engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment while receiving an appropriate level of mentoring and training to help develop innovative, cost-effective designs for new facilities, expansions, upgrades and retrofits.

Detailed Description:

• Knowledge of BIM technologies and workflow.
• Initiate production of REVIT models.
• Initiate production of contract drawings.
• Annotate contract drawings and address redline mark-ups.
• Comply with BIMxP/CADD Plan to achieve consistent results.
• Perform daily model management and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain structural content and standard details.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NBIMS, NCS, AEC, a plus.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Working knowledge of REVIT model production is a must.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel is a must.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks Manage is a plus.
• Eager to support staff with positive attitude, passion, and patience.
• Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
• Familiarity with CRSI standards for reinforced concrete detailing and AISC structural steel detailing
• Working knowledge of design industry workflows, production cycle, and priorities.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $26.30 - $36.10
Location B: $28.90 - $39.70
Location C: $31.60 - $43.30
