BAE Systems, located in beautiful St. Inigoes, Maryland, is seeking a Programmer to support our Management Information System. Duties include the creation and development of a new MIS for the Air Traffic Control Division. The Programmer will assist in developing and generating financial reports, creating and modifying screens and their underlying tables, creating, modifying, and using other utilities as needed. Will be expected to work with management personnel, financial analysts and other end users to solve challenges and address issues. Will develop applications using the new Windows-based software for the MIS and will work along with our team to support clients and other related systems.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree and some related experience OR Associate degree and 3 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 5 years of related experience
Experience with SharePoint
Microsoft Windows programming knowledge using Windows 7
Basic knowledge about programming and programming languages (Visual Basic, Delphi, C+ or C#, Java)
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Strong technical aptitude including excellent troubleshooting skills, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills
Ability to learn quickly and handle multiple tasks simultaneously within an independent or a team work setting
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience in programming using Windows 10
Knowledge of:
DataFlex
.Net
SQL
Data dictionaries
Database development in a Multi User Environment
Excel and Excel Visual Basic
Experience in programming using Windows10

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following work activities:
- Builds and codes applications and/or modules using languages such as C++, visual basic, ABAP, JAVA, XTML, etc.
- Develops a new MIS from the ground up. Propose options, develop strategy and a design plan utilizing SharePoint.
- Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems.
- Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- May build add-on modules using application program language.
