Warehouse Technician
Plaquemine, LA

Petroleum Service Corporation is looking to hire a full-time, Warehouse Technician to work in a chemical plant warehouse located in Plaquemine, LA. Our material handlers work under FDA regulations and are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and storage of product. Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts on a 4-1-2 schedule (days/nights/weekends/holidays)

Pay Range: $16.50 - $21.50 an hour

PSC Provides Training:

• No experience is required. Seeking team-minded candidates who are willing to learn. We provide all on the job training.
• If you have any experience in the restaurant, retail, warehouse, or any fast-paced environment, we can train you to work at a chemical plant.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operates forklift and other warehouse machinery.
• Responsible for the safe loading of product onto different containers/trailers and product securement.
• Perform quality control including: inspections of drums and paperwork accuracy.
• Warehouse maintenance such as: sweeping, blowing, vacuuming,and shoveling product from floors and equipment.

Job Qualifications:

• Must possess exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to follow policies and procedures
• Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards at all times
• Valid TWIC and Driver's License are required
• Forklift experience a plus, but not required.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check

Physical Requirements: You must be able to:

• Speak, write, read, hear, and have good vision
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
• Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
• Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
• Carry 20 pounds while walking
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Stand 8-12 hours per day
• Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
