Location: San Ramon, CA

Approximate Salary Rage: $55,000 - $65,000

Position Summary: We are seeking an energetic, hard-working, and motivated individual who seeks to develop a career with ENGEO as an Entry-Level Accountant. As part of our accounting team, you support senior accounting professionals with tracking and reporting key financial information vital to our ongoing operations and success. You accurately enter data into our secure database, analyze information trends according to company needs, and compile reports and metrics requested by leadership within the organization. Our ideal candidate has at least an associate degree in accounting/finance with the objective of obtaining a bachelor's degree or higher. You should also have excellent problem-solving, organizational, and math skills as well as the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoicing.
• Compile and analyze data sets for relevant patterns and financial indicators.
• Perform internal expense audits.
• Office lease reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Review time and expenses for accuracy.
• Process prevailing wage/certified payroll requests.
• Assist with multiplier billing rates in accordance with Caltrans and FAR guidelines.
• Assist with annual audits.
• Other related duties and special projects as assigned.

• An associate degree in accounting/finance with the objective of obtaining a bachelor's degree or higher.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP accounting.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Self-starter and detail-oriented with strong ethical standards.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and experience in other basic computer programs.
• 10-key by touch desired.
• Have an inherent interest in accounting/finance and a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities to automate and enhance our processes.
