Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reversers (the braking system on a jet engine), engine nacelle components and specialized aerostructures. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Located on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MRAS has a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres – where the company and its predecessors have designed, built and equipped civil and military aircraft for over 90 years. Job Summary

This role involves leading the Engineering Programs sub-section, that is responsible for overseeing the Engineering activities associated with MRAS development and production programs. It includes providing both functional leadership for the Engineering Programs team and leading program activities to support the team. This includes, driving initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes. Travel is required up to 10% of time to interface with customers and external partners.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering Programs team responsible for developing and managing cross functional, technology led, or product focused programs.
• Develop and manage the technical depth within the Engineering Programs engineering team through training, special assignments, and mentoring programs.
• Assign resources to support several production and development programs.
• Manage the overall Engineering budget and operations team to provide monthly reports and reviews with variance assessments, corrective action, updated Forecast (budget and resource), key risks/abatements, and help needed.
• Lead the team responsible for producing and maintaining integrated master schedule (IMS) with inputs from the team and provide assessment of multiple critical path(s).
• Communicate with executive and senior leadership team members on a wide range of topics affecting the business and the engineering team.
• Communicate and meet with customers and external partners on various program topics affecting the business and the engineering team.
• Provide inputs to support yearly budget and resource planning and review monthly with senior leadership team.
• Support research and development activities by participating in design reviews.
• When needed, develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/problems.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 10 additional years of engineering experience.
