Fluidra is seeking an Engineering Field Technician in the Fort Lauderdale area.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE*
The Engineering Field Technician is primarily responsible for assisting the design engineering team with their research and development of water chlorination systems, automatic pool cleaners, pressure and filtration pumps, gas heaters, filters, valves and controls. As a remote employee, this individual will be entrusted with establishing and maintaining a list of residential and commercial test pools in their local area. These pools will be used to assist in development testing of Fluidra products. The Engineering Field Technician will be responsible managing communication with test pool owners/managers, as well as installing, servicing, and recording data from products being tested at these locations. They will also be responsible documenting test results and communicating findings back to the Engineering team.
This is a remote position that will report to the Engineering Lab and Field Manager who is stationed at Fluidra N.A. headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. This employee will be required to make 2-4 annual visits to company headquarters in California for meetings and events. Additionally, you will:

Set up and conduct various field tests as defined by engineering test plans. 60%
- Document test results, analyze data generated from tests, and report findings to the project team. 15%
- Maintain effective communication with test pool owners, pool professionals, and others involved field testing. 10%
- Attend team meetings, project meetings, serviceability reviews, and other meetings as needed. 5%
- Recruit new test sites for the field-testing program and maintain an accurate list of sites in our database.5%
- Operate and maintain company vehicle 5%

WHAT WE SEEK*
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a field technician or similar.
- Must be comfortable performing hands-on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pool service tasks associated with the position.
- Comfortable with basic hand tools, including drills, drivers, saws, wrenches, multi-meters, and crimpers.
- Experience working with wi-fi connected products.
- Exceptional observation, communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Windows environments.
- Read, write and communicate fluently and clearly in English.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This employee will be required to regularly read, write, talk, and hear, to perform basic job responsibilities. They will also be required to perform a variety of physical tasks involving walking, kneeling, squatting, and carrying objects up to 50lbs without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
