Ubiquitous Energy has an exciting opportunity to partner closely with the VP of Business Development and other organizational leaders to establish the energy & financial analysis and market strategy function inside the business development group. In this role you will touch on all aspects of business development including, but not limited to energy efficiency & savings analysis, financial modeling, go-to-market strategy, operations planning and process creation. This is an opportunity to establish yourself as a subject matter expert inside a high-profile startup that is bringing transformational renewable energy technology to the residential and commercial construction markets. This role requires a doer that can think strategically, and it will offer the right Individual a high-degree of influence in the business development group.

Your Role:

• Work closely with the VP of Business Development to establish and document the go-to-market strategy across residential and commercial sectors in North America
• Track and research renewable energy policies/incentives and building codes to guide market strategy and UE’s value proposition
• Evaluate and onboard energy modeling tools to conduct energy efficiency, solar generation and utility savings analyses
• Manage and establish processes for all applicable energy and financial modeling tools
• Manage and develop customer facing content and presentation materials
• Support sales as the subject matter expert for UE’s energy/financial value proposition
• Establish a feedback process between business development and internal technical teams to capture evolving market requirements

You Have

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science or other related fields
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Expertise working with financial / data models in Microsoft Excel and creating professional presentation materials in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience utilizing energy modeling tools and programs
• Experience working with the commercial real estate industry
• Familiarity with renewable energy and/or energy efficiency policies
• Ability to succinctly communicate complex subjects to a non technical audience

Nice to Haves

• Basic knowledge of building design and construction processes
• Ability to conduct GHG emissions analysis
• Prior experience using a CRM
• Understanding of basic solar equipment and design
• Understanding of Federal tax incentives for renewable energy, specifically the Investment Tax Credit (Section 48)
• Familiarity with energy codes and standards (e.g., CA Title 24, NYC Local Law 97, ASHRAE 90.1, etc.)
• Industry certifications like LEED AP, certified energy manager (CEM), building energy modeling professional (BEMP) or others
