Advanced Endoscopy Center (AEC), a GI Ambulatory Surgery Center in Bronx, NY, has an exciting opportunity for a FULL TIME Endoscopy Technician to join the team!

The schedule for this role will be Monday - Friday (day). No nights. No weekends. No holidays.

What you will be working on:

• Assist physicians in endoscopic procedures under the supervision of the physician
• Setting up &/or breaking down patient procedure rooms
• Assisting clinical team in delivering high quality professional care while achieving optimal patient satisfaction
• Decontamination and reprocessing of endoscopic equipment
• The care and maintenance of endoscopy equipment and other patient care equipment
• Assisting the registered nurse, as directed, in the patient admission, recovery, and / or discharge process as necessary.

What you’ll know:

• A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification required
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
• GI experience preferred, preferably in an ASC or GI Suite
• Endoscopy or Surgical Technician experience preferred but willing to train
• Experience with endoscope/equipment reprocessing.
• Knowledge of EMR and medical terminology.
• Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
• Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism

The Advanced Endoscopy Center (AEC) carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum payrate for the position is $21.00 hourly and the maximum hourly for the position is $25.00. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
