Job description
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Under limited supervision, the Fingerprint Technician will manage the collection and cataloging of fingerprints as
well as general office management tasks as assigned by leadership. This individual must be able to perform tasks
autonomously while serving a diverse clientele safely, effectively, and promptly. This position must be able to work
with the public, display an inviting demeanor, and manage clients courteously.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Managing various tasks expected of a front desk person (greeting guests/clients, managing sign-in sheets and
reconciling appointments, managing office access, etc.)
? Ensure that the front desk, enrollment room, and connecting areas remain clean and organized
? Maintain certification on all state & partner mandated systems, pieces of training, and notifications
? Reconcile multiple pieces of customer-provided identification to establish identity
? Ensure the appropriate collection of fingerprint impressions meets best practices and industry standards
? Process payments for fingerprints as necessary (card, cashier's check, etc.)
? Protect all valuable personal information collected during the enrollment process.
? Ensure all tasks are completed promptly and communicated with the Recon Verification team daily
? Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
? Perform additional types of biometric scanning as the program needs to evolve
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Must be able to walk and sit up to 8 hours per day
? Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds (moving office supplies and boxes)
? Must have sufficient hearing to respond to everyday verbal speech, alarm signals, radio and telephone
communications
? Must have sufficient visual acuity to read and understand employee listings and computer screens, check
identification (such as passports/driver’s licenses), and distinguish the faces of employees, contractors, and visitors.
? Must have a command of the English language that is easily understood and spoken
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
? Two or more years prior Customer Service experience
? Previous retail experience preferred
? A High School Diploma or equivalent
? Outstanding customer service
? The position requires an extraordinarily perceptive and outgoing person, capable of relating to individuals at all
levels and backgrounds.
? Excellent oral and written communications
? Intermediate computer skills
? Professional demeanor at all times
? Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, follow up on tasks and
continuously improve
? Ability to work independently while also being a team player to help identify and solve problems
? Must be comfortable working in close physical proximity to clients
