POSITION SUMMARY
The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for delivering employee relations services to the business. You will use employee relations knowledge to coordinate the complex process and provide human resource services, including investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, leave management, industrial/labor relations, and monitoring compliance programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as HR Employee Relations business partner for the location.
- Provides coaching, information, and feedback to leaders and employees by interpreting organizational policies to issues.
- Partners with leaders on the Performance Improvement Process, offering support from start to finish. Educate leaders on the process and ensure conversation and warnings are appropriate, expectations are clear, and documents are legally sound.
- Administers the company's leave of absence program for assigned lines of business. Provide support and information to leaders and employees on the process.
- Designated initial contact for all employee/management inquiries, issues, or complaints.
- Conducts investigative processes within HR policy and standards.
- Maintains working knowledge of all state and federal regulations changes, additions, etc. Works with CHRO or General Counsel as appropriate for implementation of changes.
- Actively handled employee relations issues, some complex in nature, with minimal supervision. Escalates more complex issues to appropriate HR staff.
- HR representative for engagement and retention initiatives.
- Reinforces FAU supervisor and manager training principles and skill development with new staff to organization or newly promoted leaders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working hours: Flexible Work Schedule, Monday – Friday
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, with an emphasis in Business, Human Resources, or Employment Law. A work experience equivalent in a related area would be considered.
- Proficient knowledge of Human Resources’ scope of responsibilities with special emphasis on Employee Relations/Coaching/Employment Law.
- At least 2-3 years of proven HR business experience.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision as a remote HR representative of the FA HR Solutions team.
- Proficiency with MS Office products, e.i., Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of internal audit accounting, audit processes, and related areas.

Education
- Associates or better in Human Resource Administration or related field.
- Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration.
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources.
