The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students – public, charter, and home-schooled – and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

Applications are being accepted for the position of Emergency Medical Technician Teacher with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The starting date is approximately August 15, 2022 . The salary range for this position is $42,848 - $61,850 dependent upon preparation and like experience. This is a full-time 10 month position.


Job Summary:
To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their educational potential.

Qualifications:

• 3 years minimum experience as a professional EMT providing patient care.
• Must have current EMCT certification
• Previous experience in teaching EMT Program preferred

AND

• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957
• Arizona Department of Education secondary or career & technical education certificate in the area of Health Careers.

- The employee hired for this position will work a basic 40- hour workweek. Hours are typically 7:30am – 4:00pm. The employee may work evening hours attending advisory team meeting, career fairs, and other school-sponsored activities.
