Team Member Opening – Electronic Technician

A-M Systems is an ISO 13485 company and leading provider of neuroscience research equipment searching for an Electronic Technician who would like to pursue a great opportunity to enhance their career.

Position: Electronic Technician

Type: Full Time

Pay: $25/ hour. Several factors contribute to compensation package, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities.

Electronic Technician Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, calibrate complete instruments per assembly and calibration procedures
• Perform electronic assembly work in accordance with engineering schematics and specifications
• Interpret calculations for voltage, resistance, current and impedance
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies and apply working knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and theory to complete final calibration of assembled units
• Solder components using both surface mount and through hole techniques
• Troubleshoot layout and assembly procedures with lead engineer

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• AA degree in Electronic Technology or extensive career experience working with circuit board assembly and testing
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering schematics and drawings
• Must be able to test and troubleshoot assembled circuit assemblies
• Experience soldering/desoldering SMT components as small as 0201
• Ability to work quickly and accurately without sacrificing quality
• Understanding and working knowledge of basic hand tools and test equipment
• Working knowledge of components and application of electronic principles and theory
• Positive attitude and trustworthy
• Recognize the importance of teamwork and communication
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Occasional standing and walking required along with considerable time sitting at test bench
• Must be able to occasionally carry objects weighing 25 pounds
