Overview Verdox, Inc. is dedicated to reversing climate change through the development and deployment of advanced technology. The company’s proprietary electro-swing process, developed at MIT, enables carbon dioxide and other acid gases to be captured with up to 80% less energy and 70% less cost than conventional approaches. Verdox is backed by institutional investors and based in Boston.

Verdox is seeking a technician/assember to assist with cell builds and assembly. This position reports to the electrochemical engineer.

Primary responsibilities

• Electrochemical cell assembly and fabrication, cell component preparation and cell testing and characterization
• Assist in electrode coating and preparation
• Cell testing and characterization to evaluate new cell components and architectures
• Rudimentary data analysis of the cell test results to evaluate new material and cell configurations
• Support other research activities within the R&D team

Qualifications

• Some scientific and/or technical training
• Comfortable with chemistry lab work and research
• Computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email
• Good organizational, multitasking and communication skills
• Industry experience preferably in battery or fuel cell fabrication
