Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc, known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking Electrical helper for our Indianapolis, Indiana location.
Responsibilities:
- Safety is a priority, employee must understand construction risks and bring them to the attention of their supervisor.
- Proper selection, inspection, use and maintenance, of common electrical test equipment.
- Assist Journeyman Electricians to calculate and install potential transformers, current transformers, constant current transformers, and shielded transformers.
- Assist with testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience or an Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code
- Min 1 year of electrical experience
- Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off of the ground
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
