EHS - Health and Safety Manager opportunity for strong, growing company near Hollister

A strong, growing food manufacturer is seeking a Health and Safety Manager who will work collaboratively with employees to create a strong presence of safety to enable the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses.

Essential Duties for all Employees:

1. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules

2. Coordinates safety training for all employees.

3. Works with outside vendors, agencies, & all regulatory agencies.

4. Investigates and report causes of accidents.

5. Ammonia Safety and training

6. Maintain Training documentation for all employees

7. Documents and maintains Workers comp files

8. Will serve as the technical resource for all relevant, plant, people safety and environmental compliance areas

9. Lead a developing EHS team to a safety minded and highly engaged culture

10. Ensuring accurate and timely EHS recordkeeping, document management and effective case management, as well as preparing, maintaining, and submitting records required by the company and/or regulatory agencies

11. Leading and working collaboratively the development, review and revision of safety and environmental written and training programs

12. Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes work safety and product integrity.

13. Must follow all Safety, HACCP & GMP requirements at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a business or science discipline or equivalent

2. Hazardous Materials Management

3. Occupational Safety and Health Management

4. Strong experience and knowledge of safety and environment processes and procedures

Strong leadership, training, problem solving and decision making skills

Demonstrated organizational, communication, research and analytical skills

Effectively manage employee(s), programs, projects and consultants

Ability to manage time and meet deadlines and targets within a fast moving environment

5,10+ years of related experience

Bilingual, Spanish a preferred

Compensation:

Strong compensation package based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
