Our client, a non-profit in the educational field is hiring a Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of certain aspects of entrepreneurial programming and events. In addition, the role includes a variety of mentoring activities to support young entrepreneurs.

Compensation: $37,100 - $43,600/year

Responsibilities:

• Actively recruit young entrepreneurs for a variety of programs through a variety of resources
• Maintain database of young entrepreneurs for promotion of activities, applications, and classes
• Process and manage a variety of applications for programming and events
• Review applications annually and suggest appropriate revisions
• Facilitate workshops and classes
• Coordinate event logistics
• Coordinate volunteers
• Identify opportunities for participants to sell goods and services both locally and online
• Assist with marketing of all programs offered by organizations
• Foster and develop mentor relationships with young entrepreneurs to help grow their business

Knowledge, Skill & Ability:

• Knowledge of principles and practices associated with effective training techniques
• Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with children and adults
• Ability to handle stress and maintain discipline while working with up to 100 children per session, ages 6 - 21 years.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports
• Ability to multitask, plan, organize, and carry out assignments within given deadlines
• Ability to exercise attention to detail
• Proficient using Word, Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and other software
• High energy and personable
• Ability to become and maintain CPR certification
• Must have access to reliable transportation

Education and Experience:

• College degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience working with children
• 1+ years of experience working in and facilitating educational programs

• Knowledge of entrepreneurship is a strong plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,100.00 - $43,600.00 per year
