The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) seeks an educator for our Office of Public Outreach (OPO). This position will support the public engagement activities for the Hubble, James Webb, and Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, as well as NASAs Universe of Learning science education program.As an educator, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team, including scientists, educators, writers, designers, and developers. You will contribute your expertise and creativity to products, programs, and experiences for a wide range of learning environments outside of the classroom, audiences, and partners.Do you possess creativity and leadership skills in the field of informal STEM learning and education?In this position, you will have the opportunity to work in areas such as: digital- and multimedia-based instruction; STEM programs, events, activities and experiences; alignment with education standards; professional development; partnership building; assessment and evaluation.The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) is a multi-mission science operations center for NASAs flagship observatories. This position could support working from home. Successful candidate would need to be in or relocate to our local market to be able to report on-site when needed.
